IT Skills Programme for immigrants 2021 has commenced

We’re thrilled to share that we are resuming our IT Skills Programme for people with immigration background in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. This year, the course will take place from July 12 – August 3 and will cover basic IT, cybersecurity, and soft-skill topics — including CV creation tips, the use of social media platforms for education and work, and even understanding and dealing with cryptocurrencies.

Our cohort for 2021 consists of 28 students who originate from a variety of countries, including Eritrea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Tibet. They all have different personal and professional backgrounds, but they’re united by the same goal: to improve their education and employment opportunities, and to secure a better future for themselves and their families.

This year, it’s not only Acronis employees who will be volunteering — they’ll be joined by our friends from the Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT) and Plesk to support the Schaffhausen immigrant community. We’re so happy to have business partners and friends that share our values, and hope that more and more of them continue to join our social initiatives!

If you’d like to support the IT Skills Programme as an individual or a company, learn how to do so on our website — or contact us at foundation@acronis.org.
