The construction of one significant part of the school is underway – the toilets.

It might sound unspectacular but clean, functioning sanitary facilities are key to prevent disease from spreading and ensure hygiene standards. Similar to Guatemala, the construction team and the community has to wait until the upcoming summer break before starting phase two – the construction of the upper level for additional classrooms. The children are already excited about the grand opening for the new premises, scheduled for the end of April 2019.
