This May, Olga Kornienko, Manager of the Acronis Foundation visited the Prei Changha school in Cambodia, built by Acronis and its partner Child’s Dream six months earlier. Constructing this school was one of the first projects in Acronis’ School Initiative. In total, this initiative built five schools in a single year, with two other projects underway.
During their visit, Olga and our colleagues from Child’s Dream gained an inside look into day-to-day life at the school. Students at the school study in two shifts in a modern, positive learning environment. The school was built to support students with everything needed for a high quality education, including a library equipped with computers, also donated by Acronis. With this positive learning environment and resources, the school will have a huge impact on the lives of children in Prei Changha.
In addition to fruitful discussions with the principal and teachers about future education prospects and further needs of the school, the visit also included some fun conversation with the students and a game of soccer. One of the highlights of the agenda was presenting gifts – Acronis’ partner Arsenal F.C. generously provided the school’s soccer teams with branded t-shirts and footballs.
