We are excited to announce the launch of this new school building project in Los Maranitos, Dominican Republic with our partner RNT Rausch GmbH, a hardware manufacturer and software provider.

“The Acronis Cyber Foundation represents the same values that encouraged me to build the school in a village in the Dominican Republic,” said Sebastian Nölting, Managing Director of RNT Rausch GmbH. “We are convinced that problems such as poverty and hunger can only be solved sustainably through education. That is why education must be available to everyone all over the world. I’m glad that we have been able to partner with Acronis and are now working together towards this goal”.

This building project is more important than ever, especially at this time of the global pandemic. Even though the construction is temporarily halted, the foundation has been laid. The essential materials are already purchased and available onsite when it’s safe to proceed with the construction.

About 1,000 people in the region will benefit from the construction of the school – including 150 children and young adults. The improved facilities will create a better learning environment, not just for the children but also for the teachers and many others in the community.
