Congratulations to our 3rd graduating class from IT Skills Programme for migrants

Acronis Cyber Foundation celebrates the milestone accomplishments of 25 students from across the globe (Afghanistan, Bolivia, El Salvador, Iran, Iraq, Nepal, Sri Lankan, Syria, Tibet, Turkey and others) who graduated from the 3-week computer and soft-skills training. This is our 3rd graduating class of migrant students and more than 70 students in Switzerland have already completed it since 2020.

Organized by Acronis Cyber Foundation, with support from Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT) and governmental partners Swiss Workers’ Relief Agency, SAH Schaffhausen & Integres, an organization aimed at smooth integration of the migrant population of Schaffhausen into the local society and support them to obtain better employment and study opportunities in the town.

Students were trained in essential technology and employment topics intended to help them acclimate and succeed in their new community, including:

  • The use of popular business tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Business correspondence
  • Public speaking
  • Financial literacy
  • Creating an effective CV
  • Job interview skills

The programme was also supported by 10 Acronis volunteers and many first-time volunteers such as:

  • Avivit Neeman (pictured), VP of Finance (CH)
  • Joerg Zuell (pictured), DACH Accounting manager (CH)
  • Andre Haller, Sr. Account Manager (DE)
  • Severin Oosterveld, Senior Solutions Engineer (CH)
  • Passanan Rattana-Ngam, HR Mobility Generalist (DE)

Acronis Cyber Foundation congratulates each of them as we celebrate their achievements at the graduation ceremony. We wish all our graduates success in their future endeavours as they embark on new careers and professions.
