Uniting for a greener future: Acronis Romania team's inspiring forest clean-up initiative

On July 7th, 2023, 33 passionate individuals from the Acronis office in Bucharest, Romania gathered for a forest clean-up.

Under the radiant sun, the team dedicated several hours of their day to an ambitious mission: cleaning up the forest area near Ulitadeal, pe deal, Crevedia mica. Despite the scorching heat, they tirelessly collected an impressive 120 bags of litter, as well as large items like old tires and other debris, amounting to a staggering 1400 kg of waste!

Reflecting on this endeavor, the project leader, Bogdan Neagoe, Partner Success Manager at Acronis, expressed his admiration for the team’s unwavering spirit. “It was a great team-building experience, we had never come together in this way before” he shared with enthusiasm. “But I must admit, it was physically very demanding, I even lost 2 kilos!”

Following a well-deserved break, the team participated in a sustainability lecture and a gardening master-class, thoughtfully organized by a local non-governmental organization, Ecolog. These engaging activities not only deepened their understanding of environmental preservation but also provided practical knowledge on how to create a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.

The impact of this collective effort extends far beyond the mere removal of litter from the forest. By joining hands, the Acronis employees have demonstrated the power of unity and collaboration in fostering positive change.
