Gabrielle Stenzel, Team Lead at the Support Team at Acronis and an ambassador of the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program, along with her husband, recently took part in a heartwarming and impactful volunteering event with “Feed My Starving Children” (FMSC). This non-profit organization is dedicated to combating global hunger by providing nutritious meals to disadvantaged children around the world. FMSC believes that hope begins with food and focuses on both immediate hunger relief and long-term community development.
The event saw volunteers hand-packing meals specifically formulated for children suffering from severe malnutrition. Designed by food science and nutrition professionals, these meals consist of rice, soy, vegetables, and a blend of essential vitamins and minerals, meticulously crafted to meet the nutritional needs of the children.
FMSC collaborates with various food distribution and relief organizations, ensuring that the meals reach the most vulnerable populations in over 70 countries. By participating in these meal-packing events, volunteers like Gabrielle and her husband play a crucial role in the organization’s mission to provide sustenance and hope to those in need.
Reflecting on her experience, Gabrielle shared: “What an empowering experience! We packed over 100 boxes and created over 23,000 meals for children around the world who are struggling with hunger. With each meal costing less than 30 cents, we can provide daily nourishment for a child in need for just $106 a year. It was an inspiring event to be a part of, working alongside others who share our passion for helping others. My husband and I feel blessed to have been involved ❤️.”
