On March 15, 2025, several Acronis Romania colleagues and their families participated in a large-scale tree-planting event near the Bucov Botanical Garden, Ploiești, as part of the “România Plantează pentru Mâine” program initiated by OMV Petrom. This initiative represents the largest private reforestation effort in the country, aimed at creating a greener and healthier environment for future generations.

Together with hundreds of volunteers, our team helped plant 15,000 seedlings from 13 different tree species, including ash, elm, maple, oak, linden, and more. Their efforts contribute to enriching the local ecosystem, boosting biodiversity, and promoting environmental education. The event also included the creation of perennial plant islands, enhancing both the beauty and ecological balance of the area.

We are especially proud that many of our employees brought their children to the event, setting a positive example and teaching them the importance of supporting the environment through hands-on action. This meaningful experience helps nurture a sense of responsibility and care for nature in the next generation.

This initiative builds on the work started last year when 440 volunteers planted 12,300 seedlings of 8 different species across 6,000 square meters in Ploiești. By coming together once again, the volunteers are reaffirming their commitment to making a positive impact on their community and the environment.
