Empowering Seniors: Cyber Safety Workshop in Craiova

In a digital world where threats evolve quickly, cyber safety education should be accessible to everyone — regardless of age. That’s why one of our dedicated Cyber Foundation Ambassadors led on May 19 a cybersecurity workshop for seniors in Craiova, Romania, in collaboration with the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest.

This special session took place as part of the ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) program for elderly active learning, and gathered nearly 50 enthusiastic participants. The goal was simple yet powerful: help older adults understand the risks of using the internet and empower them with practical tools to stay safe online

During the session, we explored essential topics such as:

  • How to create and manage strong passwords 🛡️
  • How to recognize phishing attempts 🕵️‍♂️
  • How to protect personal accounts and data 🔒

The seniors showed incredible engagement — asking thoughtful questions and expressing a genuine curiosity about the online world. Their desire to learn and protect themselves highlighted just how crucial digital literacy is for every generation.

We’re proud to see our ambassadors making a real impact in their communities and contributing to a more cyber-safe world for all 🌍.
