On Saturday, June 28, 11 colleagues from Acronis Bulgaria gathered in nature – not for a new planting, but to care for the 400 baby oak trees they had planted three months earlier.
What they found was amazing: over 70% of the trees are thriving, far beyond the usual 25–30% survival rate in the wild. The team spent the day weeding, loosening the soil, and watering – with great results.

But the real magic lies beyond the numbers. With each visit, more colleagues, friends, and family join. What began as a reforestation effort has become a growing community rooted in shared purpose and joy.
As Desislava, who leads the initiative, put it:
“It looks like we haven’t just planted a forest that will thrive for the next 200 years – we’ve started a movement that may last even longer.”
The team plans to return in the fall to help the oaks prepare for winter. 🌱
Thank you to everyone who joined with your hands, hearts, and spirit!
