On August 20, Acronis proudly inaugurated a new computer classroom at the “Moša Pijade” home for children near Belgrade, Serbia. The newly renovated space will provide access to digital learning for 42 children and young people aged 7 to 21 who are currently living at the foster home.
Previously unused, the room has now been transformed into a modern, welcoming classroom equipped with new furniture and seven laptops. Beyond financial support, Acronis employees in Serbia were personally involved – cleaning, preparing the space, assembling furniture, and installing equipment to ensure everything was ready for the opening. 💻

During the ceremony, children and staff expressed their gratitude:
We are grateful and happy on behalf of the children and young people living in our home. Education is a priority for us, as it opens more opportunities for success. With this classroom, children can learn, play, and connect just like their peers. We also welcome the focus on internet safety, as protecting our users is very important to us.
Biljana Jovanović, Head of the “Moša Pijade” foster home.
To celebrate, Acronis organized a day full of interactive activities that combined fun sports with elements of cyber safety 🛡️ – reflecting our mission not only to enable access to technology, but also to promote safe and responsible digital behavior.
Most importantly, the children left the celebration with big smiles and excitement to make this classroom their own.
This project shows what’s possible when local commitment meets global support. I’m proud of our team in Serbia for turning an idea into a space where children can learn, explore, and grow.
Oleg Shaikhatarov, Chief Product Officer at Acronis
This inauguration is a powerful reminder of how collaboration can turn vision into reality – and how even one classroom can open doors to brighter futures. 🌟
