Building cyber resilience: Our first training with Navy League cadets

On December 6th, we proudly delivered our first cyber security training to a Navy League cadet squadron in Canada.

The session brought together 25 cadets aged 9 to 12 from low-income families. These young participants were highly attentive and demonstrated a strong understanding of key topics such as cyberbullying, ransomware, and digital well-being. Their engagement showed how eager they are to learn and protect themselves in today’s connected world.

Each cadet left with printed course materials and a resource card listing regional help lines and websites – practical tools they can use and share with their families. One child even asked for extra cards for his seven siblings in a group home, a powerful reminder of the impact these resources can have.

Thanks to the coordination of one of our Foundation ambassador in Canada Philippe and the Foundation’s resources, this initiative has already attracted attention from officers overseeing Navy, Army, and Air cadet programs across Canada.

We look forward to expanding this program nationwide and continuing to build cyber resilience for the next generation.
