What can you do if your electric car is out of energy and there is no charging station nearby?
A car can simply get its energy from a normal wall plug, like those in a house or a garage, the same ones that you may use to recharge your electric toy battery.
What is an attack activation zone?
Driving through the attack activation zone lets drivers pick up an extra boost of power! They must use it during every race. Going through this zone, the drivers may lose time or even positions. But no risk no reward, right? The number of times it must be used and its duration varies from track to track. Teams only find out these important details right before the race. This adds more uncertainty to the teams’ strategies and more fun to the race!
Do you know what the different colors of the Formula E flags mean?
Yellow – danger on the track, you need to go slow.
Green – the danger has passed and you can go on racing.
Blue – there is a faster car behind, give way!
Yellow and red – oil, water, or lots of sand on track, be careful!
Black – you are disqualified, go home.
Half black, half white – a warning flag, behave yourself!
White – a slower car in front of you, be aware!
Black with an orange circle (“meatball”) – mechanical problem, repair your car.
Red – the race stopped due to a crash or poor conditions, slowly go to the pit lane!
Checkered – end of race, bravo!
Do you even know how fans can influence the race?
Formula E is the only event in the world that lets you help power your favorite driver to victory! Simply vote for the driver you like most and he will get an extra performance boost during the race!
What do Formula E drivers have in common with astronauts?
Drivers’ race balaclavas, underwear, T-shirts and socks are heat resistant. They are made of Nomex – the same fiber that is used for astronaut suits.
Race boots are personalized, fireproof, and lightweight.
The gloves have a flexible sensor that measures the amount of oxygen in blood and pulse rate. The moment a driver has an accident, the trackside medical team will receive physiological reading and biometrics.
Ever wondered how fast of a racing driver you would be?
Challenge yourself in the Live Ghost Racing Game! The game uses telemetry to locate cars and to mirror the speed, positioning and movement of the drivers so that fans can race against their favorite Formula E drivers in real time across their mobile tablets and PCs!
