Acronis celebrated the first anniversary of its technology partnership with Arsenal Football Club by inviting its customers and partners to the legendary Emirates Stadium for a friendly game of football on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Eight teams comprised of staff from global IT companies and several legendary sports organizations – including Arsenal, Manchester City, ROKiT Williams Racing, and others – met on the iconic pitch to play in the first-ever Acronis World Cup.
The Acronis Foundation took part in this event, encouraging players and guests to participate in a charity raffle and donate to the construction of the Acronis School in Peru.

Later that day, the football legend Robert Pires signed Acronis True Image gift cards at the Acronis Foundation booth. Attendees received free one-year licenses to Acronis True Image, but had the option to donate to the Acronis Foundation in return, supporting the construction of its new school in Peru.

School construction in Peru is now underway – the Acronis Foundation aims to open in June 2019. Once complete, the project will include a total renovation of the old school building and a further building extension. 130 children will benefit from the project, including children who are already enrolled and those who will get the opportunity to attend after the building’s successful extension.
