Opening of second Acronis computer classroom in HCSA Highpoint Halfway House

The Acronis Cyber Foundation Program is thrilled to announce that the second Acronis-HCSA computer classroom was officially opened on 17 April 2023, in partnership with HCSA Community Services (HCSA) and Yellow Ribbon Fund (YRF). This initiative was sponsored by Acronis, as part of our ongoing efforts to give back to the community and empower individuals with the skills they need to thrive in the digital world.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Guest of Honour, Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community, and Youth. Mr Chua’s presence was a testament to the importance of this initiative and the value it brings to the community. His support was greatly appreciated, and we were grateful for the opportunity to share our vision and efforts with him.

The second Acronis-HCSA computer classroom is designed to provide training in WSQ ICDL Microsoft classes for ex-offenders. This program aims to equip participants with essential digital skills that are in high demand in today’s job market. The curriculum covers various topics, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. We hope to increase ex-offenders employability and support their successful reintegration into society by providing these skills.

The classroom was equipped with state-of-the-art technology, providing a conducive learning and skill-acquisition environment. Participants could also connect with one another, build a sense of community, and gain confidence in their abilities. The program was conducted by experienced trainers who provided personalized support and guidance to participants throughout their learning journey.

At Acronis Cyber Foundation Program, we are committed to using our technology and resources to impact society positively. We believe that education and skills development is key to creating a better future for all, and we are proud to have partnered with HCSA in this initiative. The success of the first Acronis computer classroom in Jamiyah Halfway House has inspired us to continue this partnership and expand the reach of this program to more communities in need.

The opening of the second Acronis-HCSA computer classroom was a significant milestone in our continued efforts to impact society positively. We remain dedicated to empowering individuals with the skills they need to succeed in the digital world and contribute to building a better future for everyone. Our partnership with HCSA exemplifies the potential of collaboration between private and public sectors to drive meaningful change in society.
