Acronis employees once again joined forces for a meaningful environmental initiative in Bulgaria, continuing our commitment to sustainability and community impact. This year, a team of 40 volunteers traveled to Kazichene, near Sofia, where together with our NGO partner Club200, we planted 300 oak trees as part of an ongoing reforestation effort launched a few years ago.
The initiative reflects Acronis’ belief that long-term positive change starts with consistent action. By returning to continue the project, our team helped strengthen and expand a growing green area that will benefit both the local environment and future generations.

Oak trees were carefully chosen for this effort because they are one of Bulgaria’s most valuable native tree species. Known for their resilience and longevity, oaks can live for hundreds of years while supporting entire ecosystems. A single mature oak provides habitat and food for countless species of birds, insects, and wildlife, making it an important contributor to biodiversity.
Reforestation efforts like this are increasingly important for Bulgaria, where forests play a critical role in protecting soil from erosion, improving air quality, regulating temperatures, and helping absorb carbon emissions. As climate challenges continue to impact ecosystems worldwide, restoring and preserving local forests has become an essential step toward creating healthier and more sustainable communities.
Beyond the environmental impact, the tree-planting day also brought colleagues together around a shared purpose. Working side by side outdoors reinforced the power of teamwork, collaboration, and collective responsibility — values that remain at the core of Acronis culture.
We are proud to continue partnering with Club200 and contributing to initiatives that create lasting positive impact. Every tree planted today is an investment in a greener, healthier tomorrow.
