On September 16, the city of Constanța hosted the 6th session of the national program “Cybersecurity. Introduction for Seniors”, organized by the Romanian Institute for Active Aging in partnership with ICI Bucharest and supported by several banks and technology partners, including Acronis.

The event gathered 60 seniors, eager to learn how to protect themselves in the digital world. The training focused on key topics such as:
- Choosing strong passwords and safe online practices
- Identifying and preventing online fraud
- Protecting personal data and devices
- Recognizing phishing attempts and cyber scams

Acronis was represented by our ambassador Silvia Filip, who emphasized the importance of awareness and daily online choices in staying safe. She encouraged participants to review their accounts and adopt stronger passwords immediately, highlighting that “understanding how to be safe online is essential not only for seniors, but also for children and all generations.”
This workshop continues the national mission of digital inclusion for seniors, ensuring that they can confidently navigate the internet while avoiding common risks. By sharing expertise in cybersecurity, Acronis contributes to building a safer digital environment for all.
