Building digital confidence: Cyber safety training for seniors in Romania

In Romania, our Foundation Ambassador Bianca Ceocea led a cyber safety class in collaboration with The Romanian Institute for Active Aging on March 27 designed specifically for seniors – an often overlooked but highly vulnerable group in the digital landscape.

The session brought together 40 participants and focused on practical, real-world risks: phishing emails, fraudulent calls, password security, and safe browsing habits. Rather than abstract advice, the class emphasized clear examples and hands-on guidance, enabling attendees to recognize threats and act with confidence.

This initiative reflects a targeted approach to cyber protection – meeting people where they are and adapting content to their needs. By equipping seniors with essential digital skills, the program not only reduces immediate risk but also strengthens long-term resilience within the community.💙
