Cyber safety in action: 25 children take part in a school awareness session in Romania

A cyber safety awareness session brought digital education directly into a school in Romania, reaching 25 children through an engaging classroom activity.

The session focused on cyber awareness and included a presentation by Bogdan Smadu from DNSC, the National Cybersecurity Directorate. As part of the activity, he introduced the children to HackShield, an educational game designed to help children recognize and prevent online dangers. Through the game, children learn more about the digital world and are encouraged to use their knowledge to help friends and family stay safer online.

With 25 young participants taking part in the session, the initiative created an opportunity to introduce important cyber safety concepts in a school setting.

Activities like this contribute to raising awareness of cybersecurity among younger generations and demonstrate how practical, engaging formats can bring digital safety topics into the classroom.
